Job summary

Alignerr is seeking native Brazilian Portuguese transcriptionists to produce accurate, high-quality transcriptions of spoken audio. Work remotely on an hourly contract with flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) and contribute to AI training data.

This role embraces the Brazilian Portuguese community in Lisbon and requires precision with realistic expectations for pace and accuracy. You'll handle real-world audio with crosstalk, multiple speakers, and background noise, following detailed guidelines.

Qualifications

• Native-level Brazilian Portuguese required.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to catch difficult speech.
• Comfortable following and applying detailed transcription guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Listen to spoken Brazilian Portuguese audio and produce accurate, detailed transcriptions.
• Handle challenging audio scenarios including overlapping speakers and background noise.
• Identify and differentiate multiple speakers within a recording.
• Follow transcription style guides with precision and consistency.
• Annotate non-verbal sounds and inaudible segments according to guidelines.
• Maintain quality across high volumes of content.
• Flag ambiguous segments with clear notes.
• Work independently and asynchronously.
