Perle is hiring expert Portuguese (European) transcribers to convert audio recordings of native speakers into precise, conventionally formatted transcripts. You will work with expert linguistic judgment on orthography, speaker attribution, disfluencies, and non-speech events that shape model quality.

Qualificações

• Native Portuguese with Portugal or Brazil immersion.
• Mastery of Portuguese orthography per the current Acordo Ortografico.
• Ability to distinguish European and Brazilian Portuguese in transcription decisions.
• Two years of professional transcription, captioning, or linguistic annotation experience.
• Reliable internet, good headset, and quiet workspace.

Responsabilidades

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned transcripts following project guides.
• Apply conventions for speaker ID, overlaps, disfluencies, and non-speech events.
• Make principled orthographic decisions for dialectal and code-switched speech.
• Flag ambiguous segments and audio quality issues per conventions.
• Self-review submissions before delivery and work with QA on edge cases.
