Jobgether is seeking an Accounting Manager based in Portugal for a fully remote, full-time leadership role with a growing construction and roofing business. You will own the complete accounting cycle, including job costing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting, while driving process improvements in a remote, fast-paced environment.

This position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, compliance for federally funded projects, and integration of QuickBooks Online with other tools.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies; ownership of a full-cycle accounting function.
• Strong knowledge of construction or job-costed accounting across multiple projects.
• CPA certification preferred; English fluency essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle including reconciliations and month-end/year-end close.
• Oversee job costing and WIP schedules across multiple construction projects.
• Manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing.
• Provide financial guidance to leadership and support sound decision-making.
• Lead integration and optimization of external apps with QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, subcontractor payments, and vendor/client interactions.
