Gentek.ai in Lisbon is building an operations hub and this is a founding hire for that team. You will monitor live client activity across Gentek's AI systems, acting as the human checkpoint on what the AI is doing for clients.

You’ll triage and resolve exceptions, escalate where needed to product or engineering, and serve as the operational point of contact for client reporting queries. The role offers growth as the Lisbon team scales and deep exposure to regulatory reporting and AI operations.

Qualificações

• 2–5 years in regulatory reporting operations (EMIR, SFTR, MiFIR, or similar regimes).
• Comfortable owning live monitoring and incident response in a fast-moving startup.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor live client activity across Gentek's AI systems day-to-day, catching issues, anomalies, and exceptions as they happen.
• Work in close coordination with the agentic operation layer, acting as the human checkpoint on what the AI is doing for clients.
• Triage and resolve exceptions, escalating where needed to product or engineering.
• Be the operational point of contact for client reporting queries, keeping clients confident in what our systems are doing.
• Feed patterns you see back into the product team to improve the AI's accuracy and coverage.
• Help shape process and structure as the Lisbon team grows, alongside our Head of Operations.

Gentek builds agentic AI for regulated financial markets. Our platforms help banks and asset managers automate regulatory reporting under EMIR, SFTR, MiFIR and beyond. We're opening a Lisbon operations hub, and this is a founding hire for that team.

What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates who are excited to work in a fast-moving space and help shape what operations looks like when assisted by AI agents.

You should be excited by the idea of starting close to the detail: monitoring agents operate, investigating exceptions, understanding where they succeed and fail and using what you learn to make the system increasingly autonomous.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow with the function as Gentek scales, developing deep expertise across regulatory reporting, AI operations and agentic systems, while helping shape how we operate and scale for the future.

What you bring

• 2–5 years in regulatory reporting operations (EMIR, SFTR, MiFIR, or similar OTC derivatives/transaction reporting regimes)
• Comfortable owning live monitoring and incident response in a fast-moving startup environment
• Sharp attention to detail: you catch what others miss, fast
• Portuguese/EU work eligibility; based in Lisbon

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to monitoring AI/automated systems in a compliance or ops context
