Job summary

Revolut Ltd is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to advise on compliance and legal issues surrounding cryptoassets and other financial features. The role sits in a high-impact Legal team that helps the business move fast while staying protected.

You will influence regulatory strategy, draft key documents, and collaborate with Product and Commercial teams to deliver compliant financial products globally, including ongoing UK crypto regimes and MiCA frameworks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years PQE in a legal role.
• Qualified lawyer (England & Wales, Ireland, or EU)
• Strong academic background and law firm credentials.
• Experience advising on cryptoassets and financial regulation.
• Knowledge of FSMA, MiFID, and related regimes.
• Ability to make decisions with ambiguity.
• Excellent stakeholder management and comms.
• Leadership and team capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise the business on compliance and legal issues related to cryptoassets and financial features.
• Draft customer-facing legal documents for these products.
• Manage regulatory expectations, requirements, and applications.
• Collaborate with Product and Commercial teams to design and deliver solutions.
• Ensure compliance with financial services regulations (UK crypto regimes, MiCA, PSD2, MiFID).
• Expand product offering in line with regulatory requirements.
• Engage proactively with local regulators.

About the role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring new products to navigating new regulatory regimes, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

We’re looking for a Regulatory Counsel to advise on compliance and legal issues around cryptoassets and other financial features.

What you'll be doing

• Advising the business on compliance and legal issues related to structuring new and existing cryptoassets and financial features
• Drafting customer-facing legal documents for these products
• Managing regulatory expectations, requirements, and applications
• Collaborating with Product and Commercial teams to design and deliver solutions
• Ensuring compliance with financial services regulations, including upcoming UK crypto regimes, MiCA, PSD2, and MiFID
• Expanding our product offering in line with regulatory requirements
• Engaging proactively with local regulators

What you'll need

• 6+ years of PQE
• To be a qualified lawyer (Solicitor of England & Wales, Irish Solicitor, or equivalent admittance in an EU Member State)
• An impressive academic background and law firm credentials
• Experience advising on cryptoassets, either as part of an in-house role or in a law firm
• Knowledge of financial legislation, including FSMA (RAO) and MiFID
• An understanding of relevant financial regulations and supervisory frameworks
• The ability to make decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities
