Job summary

Revolut Ltd in Portugal is seeking a senior legal counsel to join the Legal team. You will partner with Premium and Youth business units, navigate European financial regulations, and craft customer-facing documents for new and existing features.

The role combines strategic advisory with executional work, requiring judgement under pressure and a collaborative mindset. You will engage with regulators, manage complex matters with tight timelines, and support expansion into new markets while

Qualifications

• 6+ years of post-qualification experience in law, fintech, or financial services.
• Excellent academic credentials and law firm or fintech background.
• Experience advising on financial regulations in Europe.
• Experience advising on retail, premium, or consumer financial products.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on European financial regulations for Revolut's products.
• Draft customer-facing legal documents for Premium features and products.
• Engage with regulators and manage regulatory expectations and workflows.
• Partner with business teams to structure new features while ensuring compliance.

About The Role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

What You'll Be Doing

• Serving as a strategic partner to the Premium and Youth Teams
• Providing expert advice to the business on legal and regulatory issues surrounding the structuring of new and existing Premium products
• Drafting customer-facing legal documents for these features
• Helping to structure and expand features, while managing regulatory expectations, requirements, and applications
• Engaging and working alongside European and local regulators
• Excelling at leadership while also undertaking executional work
• Handling significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times

What You'll Need

• 6+ years of PQE
• Excellent academic and law firm or fintech credentials
• Experience advising on financial regulations in Europe
• Experience advising on retail, premium, or consumer financial products
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
• Experience with PSD2 and CRD
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluency in English
