Wipro Technologies in Portugal is seeking an experienced accounting professional for a hybrid role (3 days in office). You will manage fixed assets, journal entries, VAT submissions, and month-end closings for the group and local entities.

Responsibilities

• Create accounting map of spend deferrals (insurance, income, etc.).
• Handle fixed assets accounting and journal entries approval.
• Account for project accruals/deferrals and early invoicing.
• Process exceptional journals and rebates reporting.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and reclassifications.
• Resolve intercompany differences and conduct group adjustments.
• Prepare VAT listings for tax submission and management fee reporting.
• Execute month-end closure for group and local requirements.

Job description

We are excited to offer you this new opportunity with Wipro Technologies, one of the biggest brands in the industry at this moment with a well-established history in various domains.

• Hybrid, 3 days/week from the office
• Working hours: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Portugal time.

Responsibilities:

• Create accounting map of spend deferrals (insurance, income, etc.)
• Fixed assets accounting
• Review and approve journal entries
• Accounting for project accruals and deferrals and early invoicing- file sent by controlling
• Process exceptional journals
• Account for rebates and prepare accumulated monthly report
• Balance Sheet account reconciliations - review and approve reconciliation and exceptions
• Perform group level adjustments and reclassifications
• Resolve intercompany differences
• Extraction of VAT listings regarding tax submission
• Prepare Management Fee report
• Conduct month end closure for Group and local requirements - open new accounting period, close sub-ledgers, run FX Exchange revaluation, review first trial balance & request additional information, create & Post adjustments, submit Reporting Pack
• Support local statutory audit and external audit
• Support IT with Technical upgrades, testing, sign off
• Perform analysis and prepare commentary on periodic accounting
• Ad-hoc activities and reporting
• Accord support to AP team
