Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS in Portugal is seeking a RAMS Engineer to join our team. You will perform RAMS activities across the project lifecycle, prepare RAM and Safety Plans, and support safety demonstrations throughout the project.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering, has up to 3 years of RAMS experience in railway systems, is fluent in English, and can work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with EN 50126-1/2, EN 50128 and EN 50129 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Up to 3 years of experience in railway signalling systems and RAMS activities.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Portuguese language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform RAMS activities across the project lifecycle per railway standards and customer requirements.
• Prepare RAM and Safety Plans and RAMS reports as applicable.
• Conduct HAZID, HAZOP, FTA, FMECA, and ETA analyses and reliability studies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management and other stakeholders to ensure RAMS compliance.
• Support safety demonstrations and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle.
