Hitachi Rail Limited in Portugal is seeking a SCADA System Engineer to formalise specifications and assemble solution elements for production, testing, installation and support. You will plan subsystem development and act as the technical interface for SCADA matters, maintaining technical documentation and leading IVVQ activities.

The role requires 2–3 years in SCADA, ability to read drawings, proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office, and fluency in English (French preferred).

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in SCADA Systems Engineering.
• Ability to read architectural and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems architecture, integration and configuration.
• Experience with engineering and design tools, including Visio.
• High competency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (preferred).
• Availability to travel and stay abroad for extended periods.

Aufgaben

• Formalise specifications and engineering plans used to develop the solution/product.
• Assemble the solution/product elements to evaluate design, behaviour, interactions and performance.
• Ensure the solution satisfies approved operational needs and is ready for production, testing, installation, operation and support.
• Plan and coordinate subsystem development within architecture and design constraints.
• Act as the project-wide technical interface for SCADA matters.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (system requirements, design, configuration, installation and testing).
• Provide technical expertise during Design Reviews with internal teams and customers.
• Support Operations & Maintenance activities.
• Perform IVVQ activities (configuration, verification, validation and FAT tests).
• Support onsite installation activities.
• Perform T&C activities (start-up, on-site configuration, acceptance testing).
• Support configuration control with the Configuration Manager.
• Prepare training documentation and provide technical training.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Lessons Learned.
