Job summary

Hovione, a global CDMO, is seeking a highly experienced leader to drive development, scale-up, and validation of drug substances and processes in a GMP environment. You will oversee projects, manage resources, and ensure timely, compliant delivery across the tech stack and regulatory standards.

You will guide teams, implement new methodologies, review reports, and coordinate budgets while promoting scientific excellence and collaboration across diverse global sites.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a relevant field and 5 years of pharma R&D/Operations experience.
• Experience leading teams and projects within a pharmaceutical setting.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Solid knowledge of chemical engineering, unit operations, and process equipment.
• Fluency in English required.
• Adherence to GMP and HSE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, scale-up, and validation of drug substances and processes.
• Coordinate resources and ensure timely deliverables and invoicing.
• Define development strategies and scientific plans for projects.
• Support implementation of new methodologies and equipment.
• Review technical reports and ensure cross-functional information flow.
• Provide guidance to teams and assist in problem solving.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous productivity improvements.
• Promote scientific excellence and innovation within the team.
• Coordinate recruitment, training, and performance of team members.
• Develop activity plans and budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
• Monitor budget evolution and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with COPs, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure safety and environmental rules are followed.
