Job summary

Vodafone in Amadora/Lisbon is seeking a Qualys Platform Engineer to support exploitation of the Qualys vulnerability scanning platform and provide near real-time insight into Vodafone's estate. You will work with the Solution Manager and DevOps to identify options for new solutions and ensure timely delivery.

The role emphasizes delivery, with knowledge of vulnerability scanning and the Qualys platform; Wiz for Cloud scanning is a plus. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience with agile delivery using Scrum or Kanban.
• 5+ years in vulnerability management.
• 3+ years in software systems and development.
• Ability to communicate technical information to stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Qualys features and facilitate adoption by local markets.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs for implementation.
• Develop and implement code and configuration changes.
• Ensure completion of all SbD requirements.

The purpose of the role is to support the exploitation of the functionality of the Qualys vulnerability scanning platform to provide near realtime insight into the status of the Vodafone estate The role is delivery focused and will work with the Qualys Solution Manager and the Dev Ops team to identify options for the development of new solutions and to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires innovation to deliver and will require a clear focus on delivery. Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, the Qualys platform are essential, experience of Wiz for Cloud scanning would be a desirable additional skill.. This requires strong communication skills and an absolute attention to detail.

This role will be required to operate effectively in a complex, dynamic, and constantly changing environment. Active & compelling engagement of teams and stakeholders will be crucial in creating the momentum required

What you’ll do

Who you are

• 3+ years experience of software systems and development;
• Experience communicating technical information to all key stakeholder levels;
• Self-motivated and ability to work alone and as part of a team;
• Fluency in English.
