Job summary

Syone is seeking an QA Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated test suites for web applications, API validation, and CI/CD pipeline integration. The role requires hands-on experience with major web automation frameworks and API testing tools, plus Docker/Kubernetes in test environments.

You will collaborate with developers and product managers in an Agile setting, write precise defect reports, and ensure data integrity through SQL verification across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building automated tests for web applications using modern frameworks.
• Experience in API testing and validation with REST tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in test environments.
• Strong SQL data verification and query skills.
• Proactive collaboration in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Development: design, write, and maintain scalable automated test scripts for web apps using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• API Testing & Validation: build and execute automated test suites for REST APIs and microservices using Postman, Newman, RestAssured, or PyTest.
• CI/CD Integration: integrate automated tests into pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Environment & Container Management: work with Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and run tests in isolated environments.
• Data Verification: write and run SQL queries to validate data integrity and create test data.
• Agile Collaboration: participate in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies with developers and product managers to map requirements into testable scenarios.
• Bug Tracking & Quality Control: log detailed defect reports and perform test sign-offs after fixes are deployed.
