Intapp in Lisbon is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our test automation team. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and web application tests using Playwright, collaborate with product and development teams, and help raise code quality across the release cycle.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing, strong automation skills, and experience with CI/CD, React, HTML/CSS, plus ISTQB/ISEB certification is a plus.

This person will make a real impact on the business by helping grow our test automation team and processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high quality software and engineering principles with strong analytic, problem solving and programming skills. What you will do:

• Collaborate across functions with product managers, software architects, and developers, contributing to release planning and software design.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web applications.
• Create comprehensive test strategies, including both manual and automated test scenarios.
• Execute manual testing where appropriate, including exploratory, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Build and maintain automation tooling using Playwright primarily.
• Build and run automated tests as part of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Create dashboards and reporting metrics to drive release quality and continuous improvements.

What you will need:

• Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, test case creation, execution, defect reporting, and issue tracking (typically 5+ years), with a strong focus on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwrite for e2e test automation.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in React(preferred), and familiarity with web technologies such as HTML and CSS.
• Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, covering both manual and automated testing approaches.
• Experience in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing workflows, along with proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong organizational and time management skills to work across projects, proactively managing competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills to work in a collaborative environment and participate in stakeholder meetings.
• Familiarity with load, stress, or performance testing tools and methodologies is a plus.
• An understanding of Microsoft Azure & Amazon Web Services is a plus.
• An ISTQB/ISEB certification is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
