Job summary

Wire IT is seeking a Python Engineer to join a remote Portugal team. You will design and build API-driven AI applications, leveraging FastAPI, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and cloud services (Azure/AWS).

The role is remote with international growth potential, offering a strong learning culture and a flexible, people-centered environment. Requirements include 6+ years Python experience, API/API framework familiarity, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Python development experience.
• Experience building APIs, ideally FastAPI.
• Proficient with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Background building AI-enabled apps, especially in recommendation or conversational systems.
• Hands-on with evaluation frameworks for LLM/AI systems.
• Understanding of how AI differs from deterministic systems.
• Experience with Azure Cloud.
• Bonus: TypeScript, EKS, AWS.
• Excellent English level.

Role: Python Engineer

Location: Remote, Portugal

Required Skills:

• 6+ years working with Python
• Experience building with API ́s (ideally FastAPI)
• Expertise working with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience building AI-enabled applications, particularly in recommendation or conversational systems
• Hands-on experience with evaluation frameworks for LLM or AI systems
• Clear understanding of how AI systems differ from traditional deterministic systems
• Experience with Azure Cloud
• Plus: Typescript, EKS, AWS
• Great level of English
