Aubay Portugal is seeking a senior Python developer to design, build and evolve data-centric applications while operating within a hybrid work model. The role emphasizes API design, microservices, and robust testing across the full software lifecycle.

You will work with AWS and containerized environments, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable integrations and secure solutions for large organisations across sectors.

Qualificações

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and maintain robust solutions for the evolution of third-party data ecosystems, enhancing data accessibility and real-time availability.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable, high-quality applications and integrations, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
• Implement solutions utilizing APIs, data virtualization, and related integration frameworks to improve data consistency across systems.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, unit testing, code reviews, and deployment.
• Support functional and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, resolving defects and ensuring solution quality, performance, and security.
• Ensure functional and application consistency, service continuity, and continuous development within projects and maintenance activities.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Python development, demonstrating mastery of FastAPI, Flask, and related frameworks, alongside strong experience in API design, RESTful services, and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in unit and integration testing using frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest, coupled with advanced SQL skills for database design and optimization (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Mastery of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, Git workflows, code review, clean architecture, design patterns, unit testing, and observability.
• Practical experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, IBM) and containerization using Docker.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in Agile/DevOps environments, utilizing collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Mandatory proficiency in English.
