Trakstar, a technology company in Portugal, is seeking a Python Developer to join an agile, collaborative team where your voice matters as much as your code. You will develop software and APIs using Python (FastAPI) and contribute to data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

You will work with Azure, Terraform, AKS, Kubernetes, and Docker to deliver reliable services, while promoting testing, security, and DevOps practices in English within a fast-growing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Build software & APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI).
• Design and maintain secure cloud infrastructure (WAF, CDN).
• Use Terraform for IaC and deploy with Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker.
• Build, monitor and optimize end-to-end data pipelines (Kafka/Kinesis).
• Define technical direction and communicate architectures to stakeholders.
• Promote Python excellence, testing, and performance optimization.
• Embed security, observability, and DevOps practices in SDLC.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows and automation.
• Support production systems and participate in post-mortems.
• Collaborate in Agile teams and communicate in English.

Overview:

A technology company specialized in custom software development and digital transformation for both national and international contexts is seeking a Python Developer to join an agile, collaborative team where your voice matters as much as your code.

What will you do?

• Build Software & APIs: Develop software services and APIs using Python frameworks, ideally FastAPI, to create reliable and efficient data processing and deployment experiences.
• Cloud Infrastructure Engineering: Design and maintain secure cloud infrastructure from a software engineering perspective, including core networking components such as WAF and CDN.
• Deploy & Orchestrate: Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and deploy scalable services using Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker.
• Build & Maintain Data Pipelines: Implement end-to-end data solutions, ensuring reliable data flows across both real-time architectures (Kafka/Kinesis) and batch processing.
• Bridges Data & Software Engineering: Has strong expertise in software design and architectural principles, applying a software engineering mindset to solve complex infrastructure and data modelling challenges. Able to define technical direction and communicate complex architectures clearly to different stakeholders.
• Drives Python Excellence: Has advanced Python expertise and experience with its ecosystem, promoting best practices across teams, including code versioning, debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting high-throughput applications.
• Elevates Quality & Testing: Has strong knowledge of modern testing methodologies, automated testing frameworks, and quality assurance strategies, helping establish and drive engineering best practices.
• Integrates Security, Performance & Observability: Embeds security throughout the software development lifecycle and optimizes applications and data pipelines for performance, resource efficiency, and operational visibility.
• Values Collaboration & CI/CD: Has experience with CI/CD workflows, DevOps practices, and automated deployment pipelines, while continuously improving infrastructure and engineering processes.
• Ensures Operational Resilience: Has experience supporting, monitoring, and operating critical production systems, including troubleshooting complex incidents and leading post-mortem analysis.
• Drives Agile Delivery & Communication: Works effectively within Agile environments, promotes continuous improvement, and communicates complex technical concepts clearly to technical and executive stakeholders in English.

What are we looking for?

• Cloud & Networking: Deep experience (at least 7 years) with Azure and cloud infrastructure (Networking, WAF, CDN).
• IaC & Containers: Proficient with (at least 7 years) in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform , with hands-on experience in AKS / Kubernetes and Docker.
• Programming & APIs: (at least 10 years of experience) Strong Python development skills, with deep expertise in organizing projects and building web services using FastAPI.
• AI knowldge: Experience building AI-enabled applications, particularly in recommendation or conversational systems and evaluation frameworks for LLM or AI systems. Clear understanding of how AI systems differ from traditional deterministic systems.
• Fluent in English.
