Job summary

Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Python Backend Engineer to design, develop and evolve scalable backend solutions. You will build robust APIs and microservices, and ensure high-quality delivery with CI/CD and cloud-native technologies.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design maintainable architectures, ensure security, performance, and reliability, and help industrialize applications using modern engineering practices in an Agile, DevOps environment.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer to join our teams and contribute to the design, development, and evolution of scalable backend solutions.

You will be responsible for building robust APIs and microservices, ensuring high-quality software delivery through modern engineering practices, and supporting the industrialization of applications with CI/CD and cloud-native technologies. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design maintainable architectures and deliver reliable, secure, and efficient solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend architectures using Python and modern development frameworks;
• Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations to enable business processes and system connectivity;
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, security standards, and engineering best practices;
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud-based solutions;
• Contribute to solution design, technical decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintainability and performance.

What you are like

• Proficient in Python development, including FastAPI, Flask, and related backend frameworks;
• Experience in API design, RESTful services, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems;
• Experience in software engineering best practices, including clean architecture, design patterns, Git workflows, CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and observability;
• Proficient in unit and integration testing using frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest, as well as test management tools;
• Experience in SQL development, database design, and query optimization, preferably with PostgreSQL;
• Experience in cloud environments and containerization technologies, including Docker, and comfortable working in Agile and DevOps environments with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, and ALM.
