agap2 indústria is seeking a motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Ovar, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have engineering background and 2+ years in purchasing, with strong analytics and negotiation skills.

You will lead the Project Purchasing team, implement best practices, and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time materials and cost competitiveness across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required or preferred.
• +2 years in Purchasing activities or a similar role, preferably with industrial exposure.
• Strong data-driven decision making and process improvement mindset.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Strong leadership to manage different stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Project Purchasing team to foster high performance.
• Implement sourcing strategies and procurement best practices.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain and project risks aligned with milestones.
• Drive supplier readiness, material availability, and cost competitiveness from launch to production.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely sourcing solutions.
• Manage supplier RFQs, quotations, and commercial negotiations for profitable outcomes.
• Lead procurement across quotation, NPI, and industrialization projects.
• Handle critical escalations and resolve procurement-related issues.

Profile description:

The main responsibilities are:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key internal stakeholders;
• Lead, coach, and develop the Project Purchasing team, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture;
• Ensure effective implementation of sourcing strategies and procurement best practices;
• Identify and mitigate supply chain and project risks, ensuring alignment with customer commitments and project milestones;
• Drive supplier readiness, material availability, and cost competitiveness from project launch through serial production;
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and timely sourcing solutions;
• Manage supplier RFQs, quotations, and commercial negotiations to ensure competitive and profitable project outcomes;
• Lead procurement activities across quotation, NPI, and industrialization projects;
• Manage critical escalations and ensure timely resolution of procurement-related issues.
