About us
We are a private family office investing in and developing high-end residential and commercial real estate in Portugal. We take on a focused number of projects and see each one through from acquisition to delivery, with close attention to quality, cost and detail.
The role
Reporting directly to the Principal, you will support and coordinate all of our development projects: due diligence, design, licensing, construction and handover. You will be the link between ownership and the architects, engineers, contractors, and brokers we work with.
What you will do
- Coordinate development projects end to end, owning scope, budget, schedule and quality.
- Support acquisitions with property and site due diligence, licensing review, feasibility and cost analysis.
- Manage licensing with municipal authorities, from submissions and amendments to approvals.
- Support design teams, review drawings and specifications, and protect design intent within budget.
- Run tenders and contractor selection; monitor cost, progress and quality on site.
- Run project meetings, keep clear minutes and action lists, and report regularly to the Principal.
- Spot risks early and come forward with options, not just problems.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Architecture; registration with the Ordem dos Arquitectos is valued.
- 7+ years' experience combining architecture and project management.
- Proven experience in residential and commercial real estate, in both new build and renovation.
- Real estate acumen: feasibility, valuation drivers, budgets and the development process.
- Working knowledge of Portuguese licensing and of construction methods, materials and costs.
- Fluent Portuguese and English; strong CAD and Excel skills.
- Driving license and availability for regular site visits.
How we work
Plan ahead, question everything, assume nothing. Roll up your sleeves, pay attention to details and think sideways when the obvious route is blocked.
- Take ownership of their work and their commitments, and follow through.
- Stay calm and rational under pressure, and change direction without losing focus.
- Disagree openly, explain why, and bring a constructive alternative.
- Communicate clearly, honestly and on time, in writing and in person.
- Welcome feedback, keep learning, and enjoy helping others grow.
- Anticipate problems, weigh options and plan with contingencies.
What we offer
- An initial three-month trial period at three days per week, after which a permanent position will be considered.
- Direct work with the Principal on a focused portfolio of high-end projects.
- Real responsibility and autonomy from day one.
- Competitive package based on experience.
Regime de trabalho híbrido.
