Axians Portugal is seeking a Production Support Engineer / FinOps to monitor costs, optimize spend, and drive cost efficiency while ensuring performance and security. You will coordinate with engineering, finance, and business teams, and contribute to automation and DevOps efforts in a multinational project environment.

The role requires strong FinOps and monitoring skills, experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms, and English proficiency.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in Production Support and FinOps roles.
• Strong monitoring/observability capabilities.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Familiarity with legacy tools (Websphere, Autosys, CFT file transfer).
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud platforms knowledge (AWS, Azure or GCP) and cost management.
• Cloud fundamentals certification or demonstrable cloud project experience.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

THE ROLE We are looking for a #TechTalent to work as a Production Support Engineer / FinOps for a national project. YOUR DAY TO DAY Cost‐Optimization & FinOps Governance – Monitor spend, identify waste, and implement right‐sizing, reserved‐instance/commitment strategies, and tagging policies to drive cost efficiency while maintaining performance and security. Stakeholder Coordination & Knowledge Transfer – Act as the primary liaison between engineering, finance, and business teams; produce clear post‐mortem reports, run on‐call hand‐overs, and mentor junior staff on best practices in production support and FinOps. Automation & DevOps Tooling – Design, develop, and maintain automated monitoring, alerting, and remediation scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines) to reduce manual intervention and increase reliability. What We’re Looking For Proven professional experience in similar roles; Solid experience with Monitoring & obvservability; Experience with monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace; Basic knowledge with Legacy tools, such as Websphere, Autosys, CFT file transfer; Experience with DevOps (Stack) & CI/CD; Understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes; Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) – the PM must manage cost, scalability and compliance; Cloud‐fundamentals certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) or demonstrable cloud project experience; Fluency in English (written & spoken).
