Jobtailor in Portugal is seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop and maintain manufacturing plans ensuring on-time delivery while minimizing costs. You will analyze resources and lead times, monitor real-time targets, and adjust plans to prevent overloads, while coordinating cross-department communications to resolve issues.

The role requires an Engineering/Industrial Management degree and at least 2 years in technical planning, with strong SAP ERP and MRP knowledge and advanced

• Develop and maintain the production plan, generating manufacturing, material, and subcontracting requirements to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing operational costs
• Analyze machine and equipment availability, labor, and manufacturing lead times to prevent overloads and underutilization
• Monitor production targets in real time and adjust plans when setbacks arise
• Develop action plans to mitigate risks and deviations from agreed delivery deadlines
• Track and control Internal Work Order costs and analyze budgeted-versus-actual cost variances
• Verify material availability for purchase requests from other departments
• Coordinate communication across departments and foster proactive problem resolution
• Report and analyze planning KPIs and drive improvement actions
• Identify and implement process enhancements and promote continuous improvement
• Deliver Internal Work Orders on time and on budget, complete Manufacturing Orders on time, and optimize planning workflows

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years' experience in technical planning and production management
• ERP SAP knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills
• Solid understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) principles
