WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re hiring Platform Product Manager for Sapphirus — roles that demand platform thinking, abstraction, and strong technical fluency. Candidates from certain companies will have highly transferable skills, because they’ve already worked in low-code, automation, or configurable platform environments.
In order to join our team, you must have:
- BA/BSc Degree in Engineer, Technology or similar;
- 6+ years as Product Manager in a SaaS or platform startup, with a platform mindset or strong technical fluency;
- You’re an Experienced Engineer/Developer or Technical Founder/Architect who gravitates toward product design and systems thinking;
- You’ve been a Solution or Pre-Sales Consultant in platform products (low-code, automation, highly configurable systems) and want to move from showing what’s possible to designing it;
- Fluency in English;
- Core skills: abstraction & systems thinking; problem decomposition & written-first clarity; technical fluency & effective use of AI;
- Personal traits: high standards, pragmatism, critical thinking, dependability, and energy & drive.
Key responsibilities:
- Translate vague asks into structured deliverables – take problems, backlog items, and stakeholder inputs and reframe them into clear problem statements, structured design briefs, and deliverable feature definitions;
- Balance reuse with pragmatism – decide what should be abstracted for reuse versus solved pragmatically for speed, always weighing short-term delivery needs against long-term platform leverage;
- Author written-first work packages – produce vision briefs and structured work packages that define concepts, models, scope, and acceptance criteria in a durable, written-first format;
- Ensure feasibility and alignment – partner with architects, engineers, and compliance SMEs to ensure designs are both implementable and aligned to common patterns and use cases observed across clients and domains;
- Uphold platform thinking – spot patterns, make trade-offs, and ensure designs stay coherent with existing turbines, services, and ontologies across the Sapphirus ecosystem;
- Champion reusability – act as the voice of reusability, holding the line against one-off solutions while communicating trade-offs in stakeholders can understand;
- Be opinionated about functional design – take ownership of functional designs, create mock-ups and flows to facilitate conversations, and make the product vision more concrete and tangible for both business and technical stakeholders;
- Abstraction, pattern recognition & systems thinking – spotting what’s repeatable, designing for reuse, and ensuring coherence across the platform, particularly in B2B enterprise environments where complexity and integration depth are high;
- Problem decomposition & communication clarity – breaking vague requirements into structured deliverables, and documenting them in a written-first way that others can build on;
- Technical fluency & AI leverage – understanding data models, APIs, and integration patterns well enough to design implementable solutions, and using AI tools as an amplifier in exploration and analysis.
And you must be:
- Positive, respectful, inclusive and embrace collective success;
- Focused in developing scalable and sustainable solutions;
- Have a mind for addressing compliance (welcome to the big-4 red-tape).
