Job summary

Philip Morris International is seeking a principal-level AI Delivery & Engineering leader to set standards for reusable agentic AI capabilities. You will drive secure, reliable, scalable AI solutions across Lisbon Remote Portugal and Krakow Hybrid Poland, guiding architecture reviews and partner alignment.

You will oversee agent contract definitions, observability, and end-to-end readiness, mentoring teams and shaping collaboration with Quality and Testing to ensure compliant, safe deployments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Enterprise software engineering experience in cloud-native and distributed systems.
• Hands-on enterprise AI engineering experience, including architecture, code, integrations and readiness review.
• Deep knowledge of agentic AI orchestration, bounded autonomy and enterprise tool integration.
• Experience with agent and tool contracts, interoperability, workflow composition and dependencies.
• Knowledge of context, memory, retrieval and grounding, authorization and human oversight.
• Experience with observability, AI evaluation and realistic failure analysis.
• Strong secure software development, CI/CD, testing and reliability foundations.
• Proven technical leadership through standards, reviews and supplier assurance.
• Strong communication, cross-team influence, mentoring and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Quality and Testing to assess behavior, grounding, regressions and traces.
• Review operational readiness, including observability, dependencies, recovery and support handover.
