Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Principal Solution Architect for Embedded Platforms in the United States. You will shape how Sovos technology embeds into partner products, guiding enterprise integrations and product direction with global ISV partners.

You will mentor other architects, influence platform strategy and lead governance, with travel 10–25% for partner engagements and events. Strong collaboration with Product, Engineering and Compliance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years in product, tax/ERP technology consulting or enterprise software.
Proven understanding of global tax compliance and indirect tax processes.
Experience designing enterprise integrations with APIs, webhooks and cloud-native tech.
Experience with tax compliance, ERP integration or regulatory tech platforms (Sovos experience a plus).
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic ISV partnerships, designing scalable embedded compliance solutions.
Deliver architecture docs, integration designs and roadmaps.
Design enterprise integrations using APIs, webhooks and modern patterns.
Establish governance for partner health, risk and quality standards.
Build executive relationships with Product, Engineering and Compliance leaders.
Provide thought leadership and mentor architects across the org.
