Job summary

Akuo is seeking a Power Plant Manager to oversee the safe and optimized operation of photovoltaic parks and battery storage systems within the Portugal asset portfolio. The role is based in Lisbon, Evora, or Portalegre with regular site visits to Evora and Portalegre regions.

You will supervise HSSE, operations, contracts, and performance management while coordinating with local authorities and international teams. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in renewable energy operations preferred.
• English fluency is required; Portuguese language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational activities ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee energy production and asset performance across solar, storage, and wind plants.
• Manage contracts, stakeholders, and incidents; coordinate with local authorities and partners.
