Job summary

Körber Supply Chain Automation in Portugal seeks an experienced PLC SW Engineer to manage programming, implementation, and commissioning of cross-belt sorters on international projects. You will describe software functionality during design and coordinate interfaces with third parties.

You will integrate PLC standard modules and use the engineering tool chain, supporting commissioning on customer systems and ensuring acceptance according to our standards.

Qualifications

• Trained as electrical engineer or master electrical engineer with professional experience or have a degree in electrical engineering and automation.
• Experience in SW implementation and commissioning of sorter systems.
• Advanced knowledge and several years of experience in TIA SW project planning.
• Many years of experience in SW project planning and commissioning for automation systems and fail-safe applications.
• Several years of experience in technological logistics systems or automation systems from industry.
• Very good knowledge of the SIMATIC HW product range SPS S7-TIA & Drives
• Proficient in common bus systems: Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, AS-I Bus, CAN Bus
• Very good English skills and intercultural competence with ability to work in a team
• Willingness to travel ~50% to our projects

Responsibilities

• PLC SW Engineering and commissioning for cross-belt sorters on international projects.
• Carry out SW implementation and commissioning based on existing SW library.
• Collaborate with development department for project planning processes and the SW Library.
• Describe planned software functionality during project design and coordinate interfaces with third parties.
• Ensure integration of PLC Standard Modules and use of the engineering tool chain in the project.
• Accompany commissioning on the customer's system according to our standards, through integration and customer acceptance.

Job description

• In this position, you will be responsible for PLC SW Engineering and commissioning for our cross-belt sorters on our international projects.
• You will carry out the SW implementation and commissioning based on an existing SW library.
• For the further development of the project planning processes and the SW Library, you are in close contact with our development department.
• During the design phase of a project, you describe the planned software functionality and coordinate interfaces with third parties.
• In doing so, you will ensure the integration of the PLC Standard Modules and the use of the engineering tool chain in the project.
• You will accompany the commissioning on the customer's system in accordance with our standards, through integration and customer acceptance.

Your profile

• You have trained as an electrical engineer or master electrical engineer with professional experience or have successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering and automation.
• You have already experience about SW implementation and commissioning of sorter systems
• You have advanced specialist knowledge and several years of experience in TIA SW project planning
• You have many years of experience in the field of SW project planning and commissioning for automation systems and fail-safe applications.
• You have several years of experience in the field of technological logistics systems or, alternatively, automation systems from industry.
• You have very good knowledge of the SIMATIC HW product range SPS S7-TIA & Drives
• You are also proficient in common bus systems such as Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, AS-I Bus, CAN Bus
• We require very good English skills as well as intercultural competence and the ability to work in a team for this position
• A willingness to travel to our projects of about 50% is no problem for you.
