Job summary

Körber Supply Chain Automation is seeking an experienced SW Engineering Lead to drive software concepts and commissioning for international sorters and conveyor projects. You will lead an on-site and remote team, shaping the SW architecture in SIMATIC TIA, Failsafe and WIN-CC.

The role requires strong English skills, intercultural competence and willingness to travel about 30% of the time, with mixed home office/on-site work and modern IT equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in automation or computer science or a comparable field.
• Extensive experience in SW development and concepts for logistics warehouse and sorting systems.
• Expert knowledge in SW development and SW architecture (SIMATIC TIA, Failsafe, WIN-CC).
• Experience leading on-site teams as a lead engineer.
• Very good English; intercultural competence; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~30%).

Job description

Overview In this position, you will be responsible for SPS SW Engineering and the commissioning of our international projects for our sorters and conveyor technology as a technical lead engineer. You act in the projects as SW & Commissioning Lead Engineer and lead an international team.

Responsibilities

For customer-specific SW functions, you create the SW concepts and monitor the implementation in the customer project based on our SW library and tools

You support the projects with your expertise in SW project planning and ensure compliance with the tools and processes of our international project teams

You will actively participate in the further development of our SW library

You will implement the software engineering within the planned cost, quality and schedule framework and support the offer manager during the calculation

Qualifications

You have successfully completed a master's degree in automation technology/computer science or a comparable field

You have many years of experience in SW development and concepts for logistics warehouse and sorting systems, alternatively in industrial automation

You have expert knowledge in SW development and SW architecture in the field of SIMATIC TIA, Failsafe and WIN-CC

You are practiced in common bus systems such as Ethernet & Profinet and have experience with failsafe application

You have expert experience in commissioning and have already led a team On Site as team lead

We require very good English skills as well as intercultural competence and the ability to work in a team;
German language skills are beneficial

A willingness to international travel to our projects of about 30% is no problem for you
