Springer Nature seeks a Platform Engineer - Content Protection to design, implement and operate traffic-management and content-protection controls. You will work with Data Analysts, Product and Platform teams to balance discoverability with protection, across AI-driven and agentic access patterns.

Role focuses on protecting content and platform performance while enabling legitimate users to access resources. Strong WAF and incident-management experience is essential.

Qualificações

• Hands-on WAF engineering experience with modern edge platforms.
• Experience implementing bot management and traffic controls.
• Response to scraping, abuse or traffic-related incidents is required.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, TLS, CDN and edge technologies.
• Ability to balance security, operations and business needs.

Responsabilidades

• Build and improve WAF signals, policies and rules for automated access control.
• Own lifecycle of traffic protection controls: design, test, deploy, tune, validate.
• Implement rate-limiting, bot-management and traffic shaping aligned to objectives.
• Ensure protection without harming legitimate discoverability or UX.
• Translate signals into enforceable controls with measurable outcomes.
• Lead incident response for scraping and automated abuse events.
• Maintain runbooks and governance for protection operations.
• Collaborate with Fastly MSS and stakeholders to maximise value.
• Partner with Data Analyst and SEO to maintain discoverability.
• Define policies for AI agent access and future content usage models.
