Job summary

BorgWarner Portugal seeks a Site IT Manager to lead all IT services for the plant and tech center, ensuring stable, secure, and standardized delivery aligned with enterprise IT strategies.

You will drive the local digital roadmap, champion AI/automation initiatives, and supervise the site IT team while coordinating with regional teams to ensure enterprise capabilities are delivered effectively at the site level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years IT experience with at least 2 years in a site/leadership role in manufacturing.
• Hands-on skills with low-code/AI tooling and scripting basics (Python, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Lead site IT services, governance, and digital roadmap alignment with enterprise strategies.
• Own IT/OT cybersecurity, governance of MES/SCADA, connectivity, and engineering systems.
• Coach engineers and operators in AI adoption, Copilot/Power Platform usage, and automation.
• Manage IT operations, incidents, and vendor relationships with service excellence.
