Quanteam - Portugal (RAINBOW PARTNERS Group) is seeking a PL/SQL Developer to work on the OPAL Rule Engine and Oracle migrations. The role focuses on SQL development, performance tuning, and ensuring robust data rules are implemented efficiently.

Candidates should have strong PL/SQL skills, experience with Oracle 19c, and a background in SQL code optimization. The position offers a permanent contract with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualificações

• Proficient SQL development with Oracle DB (19c) and PL/SQL.
• Strong SQL optimization, performance tuning, and database migration knowledge; Sybase ASE a plus.
• Experience with SDLC: development, integration, deployment, and documentation; Java is a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on code reuse, optimization, and maintainability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with technical and business units.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain rules and components within the OPAL Rule Engine (Java).
• Migrate business rules from Sybase ASE 16 SQL to Oracle 19c.
• Analyze SQL code and optimize according to Oracle best practices.
• Identify opportunities for SQL optimization, code reuse, and maintainability using PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Develop, configure, integrate, and deploy software modules per project plans and specs.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and other technical teams to meet requirements.
• Follow established development standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Document technical solutions, developments, and processes.
• Support module integration and deployment activities throughout the lifecycle.

We are looking for a PL/SQL Developer

MAIN TASKS

• Develop and maintain business rules and application components within the OPAL Rule Engine, built in Java.
• Contribute to the migration of business rules from Sybase ASE 16 SQL to Oracle 19c.
• Analyse existing SQL code and redesign it according to Oracle best practices and performance optimization principles.
• Identify and implement opportunities for SQL optimization, code reuse, and maintainability, including the use of PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Develop, configure, integrate, and deploy new or existing software modules according to project plans and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and other technical teams to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Follow established development standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to the documentation of technical solutions, developments, and processes.
• Support module integration and deployment activities throughout the development lifecycle.

YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS

• Professional experience in SQL development, with strong knowledge of Oracle Database (ideally Oracle 19c) and PL/SQL (packages, procedures, and functions).
• Solid understanding of SQL optimization, performance tuning, and database migration, with Sybase ASE experience being a strong plus.
• Experience with software development lifecycle, including development, integration, deployment, and documentation; Java experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for code reuse, optimization, and maintainability.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
