Job summary

Consort Group in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a Permanent Control officer to strengthen governance and internal controls within Global Markets. You will lead risk management efforts, coordinate regulatory initiatives, and ensure compliance with evolving rules across the organization.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations, design remediation plans, and promote a culture of regulatory excellence. Hybrid work arrangement and a permanent contract are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Permanent Control or related fields in Banking/FS.
• Strong understanding of financial markets governance and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and control design.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the regulatory governance framework of Global Markets activities.
• Design and coordinate first-level control plans and remediation actions.
• Coordinate governance bodies and supervise regulatory initiatives.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Operations to mitigate risks.
• Maintain audit trails and governance documentation.
