Job summary

SIXT Lisbon is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage accurate and timely payroll for Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and providers to ensure compliant payroll execution in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will support payroll reporting, audits, and documentation, act as the first point of contact for payroll questions, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processes and legislation.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with Benelux payroll is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for Benelux markets (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg).
• Ensure data accuracy and legal compliance across payroll systems and processes.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external providers to resolve complex payroll issues.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

You manage accurate and timely payroll processing, with a focus on the Benelux markets (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg)

You ensure data accuracy and legal compliance across payroll systems, providers, and internal processes

You collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and third-party providers to resolve complex payroll issues

You support the preparation of payroll reports, audits, and documentation for compliance

You serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and HR teams

You assist with continuous improvement of payroll processes and support system updates and testing

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

Experience You bring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processes and legislation (experience with Benelux is a plus)

Education You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field

Technical Skills You are experienced in working with payroll systems and HRIS tools (e.g., ADP, Celergo, Workday)

Attention to Detail You are highly organized and accurate in handling payroll data and documentation

Priority Management You confidently manage competing deadlines and prioritize effectively under pressure

Language You are fluent in English, with additional languages being a plus
