About the role
St. Julian's School is seeking to appoint a highly committed and suitably qualified Part-time History Teacher to join our dedicated Humanities Faculty. All students study Geography and History from Years 7 to 9, before making option choices at IGCSE and one of our Group 3 subjects in the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13. The Faculty includes History, Geography, Business Studies, Economics and Psychology at IBDP level.
The timetable for this role currently consists of a Year 8 Class, Year 10 GCSE History, Year 12 IB History HL and Year 13 History HL.
Be an innovative and collaborative teacher and team member.
Demonstrate experience in excellent teaching of History across the age range.
Possess a recognised teaching qualification.
Have a proven record of an adaptable, collaborative, inspiring and compassionate approach to teaching and learning.
Experience in teaching CIE IGCSE.
Experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme, including Theory of Knowledge or CAS.

At St. Julian’s, the curriculum is adapted to reflect the community’s roots in Portugal as well as the international nature of its student body, and enriched by the School’s own curriculum development strategies. From Nursery (age 3+) to Year 11 (age 16+), St. Julian’s broadly follows the National Curriculum for England. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) embraces the two years of Nursery and Reception, ages three to five. Thereafter, students progress through the Key Stages.
The Secondary Section nurtures each student to have a sense of self-confidence and happiness.
