HumanIT Digital Consulting seeks an experienced OutSystems Mobile Consultant to develop and maintain mobile and web apps with strong offline functionality. You will contribute from requirements analysis to ongoing maintenance, leveraging OutSystems mobile capabilities, REST/SOAP APIs, and local data storage to ensure reliable operation offline.

The role requires 5+ years in OutSystems, 3+ years in offline mobile development, and a relevant degree.

• Degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Based in Lisbon or willing to travel to Lisbon.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced OutSystems Mobile Consultant to join a technology project focused on the development and maintenance of mobile and web applications. This opportunity is particularly suited to someone with deep OutSystems expertise and strong hands‑on experience building mobile applications that must continue operating reliably in offline scenarios.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing and ongoing application maintenance.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

The project involves the development and evolution of mobile solutions for Android and iOS, with a strong focus on offline functionality, local data storage, synchronization with backend systems and the management of online/offline application states.

You will work with OutSystems mobile capabilities, external APIs and native mobile services while ensuring good usability and application behaviour even when connectivity is limited or unavailable.

The specific OutSystems platform version was not provided by the client and should therefore be confirmed during the process.

The professional must be based in the Lisbon area or be available to travel to Lisbon whenever required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with OutSystems across mobile and web applications.


• Minimum 3 years of experience developing mobile applications with offline capabilities.


• Mandatory OutSystems Mobile Specialist certification.


• Strong experience with local data storage, server synchronization and offline/online state management.


• Experience developing applications for both Android and iOS.


• Experience integrating REST and/or SOAP APIs.


• Practical experience using native OutSystems mechanisms for offline data management, storage and retrieval.


• Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices, particularly for offline mobile scenarios.


• Experience implementing push notifications and other mobile services.


• Practical development experience with .NET and/or Java.


• Experience across requirements analysis, documentation, solution design, development and testing.


• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related area.


• Fluent English, both written and spoken.


• Based in Lisbon or available to travel to Lisbon whenever required.


• Immediate or short-term availability strongly required.

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience working across both new application development and application maintenance environments.


• Broader experience designing complex mobile architectures in OutSystems.


• Experience delivering mobile applications where connectivity, synchronization and data consistency are business-critical.


• Additional OutSystems certifications.


• Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

Compensation: €2,150 – €2,850/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
