Leonteq AG is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Developer in Lisbon to design, develop and optimize our Oracle-based data warehouse and reporting solutions. Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Strong data warehouse modeling and normalization knowledge.
• Expertise in advanced SQL concepts, analytical functions, partitioning and parallel execution.
• Experience with performance tuning using Oracle tools (ASH, AWR).
• English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop a Data Warehouse on Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition.
• Develop scalable PL/SQL code for data movement, transformation and reporting.
• Implement reporting for Risk, Finance and Regulatory areas.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and data needs.
• Refactor legacy systems to improve scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Write clean code following Leonteq’s standards and best practices.
• Optimize SQL/PL-SQL leveraging parallel queries, partitioning and analytics.
• Tune performance using ASH and Real-Time SQL Monitoring.
• Support data modeling using Kimball, Data Vault or 3NF.
• Work in an agile, collaborative environment and mentor juniors.

As a Senior Oracle Database Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of our Oracle-based data warehouse and reporting solutions. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust and scalable systems that support mission-critical financial and regulatory processes. What you'll do

• Contribute to the design and development of a Data Warehouse based on Oracle Database 19c Enterprise Edition


• Develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable PL/SQL code for data movement, transformation and reporting


• Implement complex reporting solutions in areas such as Risk, Finance, and Regulatory reporting


• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements, workflows, and data needs


• Refactor and enhance legacy systems to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability


• Write clean, reliable code following Leonteq’s best practices and development standards


• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, leveraging advanced Oracle features like parallel queries, partitioning, compression, and analytical functions


• Tune database/query performance using tools such as ASH and Real-Time SQL Monitoring


• Support data modeling activities using techniques such as Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF


• Work in an agile, collaborative environment, contributing to design reviews and mentoring junior developers

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development


• Strong understanding of data modeling for data warehouses, including dimensional modeling and normalization techniques


• Deep knowledge of advanced SQL concepts, including analytical functions, hierarchical queries, complex joins, partitioning, and parallel execution


• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting using Oracle diagnostic tools (e.g., ASH, AWR)


• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative and scalable solutions


• Proactive and independent working style with high attention to detail


• Fluency in English with excellent communication and collaboration skills


• Solution-driven mindset and interest in investment

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial or insurance industry


• Developing web-applications using Oracle Application Express


• Proficiency in Python programming language


• Working knowledge of Git version control systems
