HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking an experienced Oracle Data Migration Consultant to lead data migration from legacy systems to Oracle Retail Cloud (SaaS) in a hybrid Porto setup. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy for merchandising, pricing, and inventory during go-live.

The role requires 5+ years in data migration, hands-on Oracle Retail Cloud experience, strong SQL skills, and excellent stakeholder management.

Oracle Data Migration Consultant (Oracle Retail Cloud/SQL) - Hybrid Porto

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a large-scale transformation programme for a major international retail brand with a strong presence across Europe and beyond. As Senior Data Migration Consultant, you'll play a key role in moving the business from legacy systems to Oracle Retail SaaS, making sure the data behind its merchandising, pricing, and inventory operations is accurate, complete, and ready for go-live. This is a high-visibility role in a complex, multi-team environment, where your work directly determines the success of the deployment and its adoption by the business.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

The project focuses on migrating data from legacy platforms into Oracle Retail Cloud (SaaS) applications. You'll work closely with functional consultants, integration and technical teams, architects, Product Owners, and business SMEs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing source data structures and quality, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, duplicates, and cleansing needs, and running data profiling and reconciliation
• Defining source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, business validations, and conversion logic, and validating them with business process owners
• Supporting extraction, transformation, and loading activities and coordinating migration cycles across development, test, staging, and production environments
• Defining and executing data validation strategies, reconciling source and target systems, and tracking migration defects through to resolution
• Facilitating workshops, reporting on progress, risks, and issues, and supporting testing, cutover, end-user readiness, and business sign-off

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• 5+ years of experience in Data Migration and Data Conversion projects
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Cloud
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data analysis tools
• Solid understanding of data migration methodologies, governance, and best practices
• Experience producing data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation documentationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• English at B2 level (Upper Intermediate) or above
• Based in or able to work hybrid from Porto

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience with Oracle Retail SaaS implementations
• Knowledge of retail business processes, including Merchandising, Pricing, and Inventory Management
• Understanding of data quality and governance frameworks
