Job summary

Buss Energy Group seeks a senior operations leader in Portugal to drive the rotor blade service business, overseeing the service department, leading field teams and ensuring safe, high-quality repairs. You will report to the Managing Director and collaborate with the German HQ to scale blade-related services.

The role requires hands-on, entrepreneurial thinking, English fluency, and willingness to travel to wind farm sites, including Australia, to advance operations and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Several years of rotor blade repair experience on wind turbines.
• Experience leading service teams and managing field operations.
• Strong planning and coordination of operational resources.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Fluent in English; comfortable with negotiations.
• Willingness to travel regularly to wind farm sites (including Australia).
• Knowledge of wind energy service operations; international project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take overall operational responsibility for the rotor blade service business in Portugal and support the Managing Director in steering day-to-day operations.
• Lead the rotor blade service department and provide functional leadership to assigned employees and service teams.
• Provide mobile support to service technicians, focusing on quality assurance at wind farm sites.
• Ensure high-quality execution of rotor blade repairs and maintain standards of quality, productivity and safety across field teams.
• Plan and coordinate personnel, equipment and other resources; ensure repair reports are accurate and timely.
• Identify training needs in coordination with QHSE and the Managing Director.
• Monitor and report relevant operational KPIs and quality assessments.
• Collaborate with the German headquarters, advise management on operational matters, and help develop the blade business and scalable processes for growth.

• You lead the rotor blade service department and provide functional leadership to assigned employees and service teams.
• You provide mobile support to service technicians, with a focus on quality assurance at wind farm sites.
• You ensure high-quality execution of all rotor blade repairs and maintain high standards of quality, productivity and occupational safety across the field teams.
• You plan and coordinate personnel, equipment and other operational resources, and ensure repair reports are accurate and completed on time.
• You identify training needs in close coordination with QHSE and the Managing Director.
• You monitor and report relevant operational KPIs and quality assessments.
• You work closely with the German headquarters, advise management on operational matters, and help develop the blade business, additional service areas and efficient processes for sustainable growth.

Your Candidate Profile

• You have several years of professional experience in rotor blade repair on wind turbines and a sound understanding of operational service in the wind energy industry.
• You have experience leading employees and service teams, strong technical expertise and a clear commitment to quality.
• You are experienced in planning and coordinating operational resources.
• You think entrepreneurially and bring a hands‑on approach, initiative, resilience and assertiveness.
• You are fluent in English and confident in professional and negotiation settings.
• The role involves regular travel to wind farm sites including Australia
• Experience with GKT, wind turbine installation, building or developing operational service organisations, or international wind energy projects would be an advantage.
