Air Apps, a Lisbon-based AI-driven startup, is seeking a Backend QA Engineer to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of our backend. You'll focus on testing APIs, databases, and services while collaborating closely with engineers.

The role is fully onsite in Lisbon; relocation support is available. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript and enjoy combining software development practices with quality assurance.

Qualificações

• 2–3 years of backend testing/QA experience.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript in backend.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman/Swagger.
• Ability to review PRs and backend changes.
• Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., TestRail).
• Strong attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute tests for APIs, databases, and service integrations.
• Validate API functionality and performance with Postman/Swagger.
• Test database operations and data integrity in PostgreSQL.
• Review pull requests and ensure test coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for backend services.
• Review backend infrastructure for reliability and performance.
• Document defects and test results in test management tools.
• Collaborate with product teams to improve testing strategies.
