Heerema Marine Contractors in Porto invites a Structural Engineer to ensure structural integrity of complex offshore installation projects. You translate technical requirements into safe, practical designs from concept through tendering to detailed design and execution.

Based in Porto, you will join a growing engineering team and work across Wind, Decommissioning or Transport & Installation product lines, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver safe, efficient offshore

Qualificações

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in offshore structural engineering.
Experience with finite element analysis tools like SACS, ABAQUS or similar.
Strong analytical skills and a practical mindset.

Responsabilidades

Design offshore structural solutions including lifting arrangements, grillage, seafastening and installation aids.
Perform structural strength calculations and verifications.
Conduct advanced finite element analyses using SACS, ABAQUS or similar tools.
Review and coordinate structural deliverables such as drawings and reports.
Ensure quality and compliance of engineering work by colleagues and subcontractors.
Collaborate with installation and project engineers to optimise solutions.
Support development and improvement of structural engineering standards and practices.
