Job summary

Claranet limited in Lisbon is seeking a Networks Senior Engineer/Team Leader to guide a team of Network Engineering and SecOps professionals in designing, securing, and operating hybrid and multi-cloud networks, with a strong focus on Azure and GCP.

You will drive technical direction, oversee Azure services (VNets, NSGs, Firewall, VPNs), and foster Zero Trust, IaC, and automation while collaborating with Cloud, Security, Platform, Applications and Service Management teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical teams in networking, cloud infrastructure, or SecOps.
• Strong expertise in Azure networking and good understanding of GCP networking.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, routing and network security.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Network Engineering and SecOps professionals.
• Provide technical direction for Azure, GCP, on-premises, and hybrid network architectures.
• Oversee Azure networking services, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, ApplicationGateway, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and Private Endpoints.
• Guide secure connectivity between on-premises, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Drive the adoption of Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Support complex incidents, troubleshooting, network optimization, and security investigations.
• Establish engineering standards, operational procedures, documentation, and governance practices.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Platform, Applications, and Service Management teams.
• Support Kubernetes networking, including AKS, ingress, CNI, service mesh, and network policies.

• Hands-onknowledge of Terraform and/or Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  


• Experiencewith cloud security, incident response, and operational governance.
  


• Goodunderstanding of Kubernetes networking, preferably AKS.
  


• Excellentcommunication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
