Job summary

AlSaree AutoTechnics in Porto, Portugal is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to maintain and monitor our network infrastructure. You will troubleshoot issues, implement security measures, and manage backups for reliable operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field with at least 2 years of hands-on experience. Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, routers/switches/firewalls, VPNs, and virtualization is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Network and Systems Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize network usage.
• Maintain and upgrade network equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
• Implement security measures to protect the company's data and systems from cyber threats.
• Perform regular backups of system data and ensure they are stored securely.
• Troubleshoot network issues reported by users and provide timely resolution.
• Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement new network solutions.
• Keep track of inventory for all hardware and software related to the network.
• Provide technical support to employees regarding network connectivity or software issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in networking technology.
