We Are META in Lisboa is seeking a Network Security Transition Manager with over 9 years of experience in overseeing security transitions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security technologies and proven ability to manage complex IT transitions.

Fluency in English (B2) is required, along with strong vendor management skills. The position offers a hybrid work model, requiring presence in Lisboa two times a week. Applicants must be based in Portugal or hold valid EU work permits.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience as a Network Security Transition Manager
• Deep expertise in network security principles and technologies — including TCP/IP, VPNs, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, DNS Security, and WAFs — is essential for overseeing the technical integrity of security transitions.
• Proven ability to manage complex IT or security transitions end-to-end — from planning through completion — while ensuring operational continuity and minimizing risk.
• Strong vendor management and third-party coordination skills are needed to orchestrate the handover of security assets, responsibilities, and service agreements across multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks or Service Management principles is highly desirable to ensure structured, compliant, and auditable transition processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional communication skills are critical for aligning technical teams, client stakeholders, and external providers around shared transition milestones and security compliance requirements.
• Fluency in English (B2)
• Availability for Hybrid model 2 times a week based in Lisboa
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
