ITDS is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer in Lisbon, offering a hybrid work model with up to 3 remote days per week. You will own operational security infrastructure, implement firewall policies, and drive network segmentation within an international banking client environment.

You should bring 6+ years of experience in network security, hands-on with NSX-T, Palo Alto and Fortinet, and a strong track record in ITIL-aligned incident and change management.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of experience in network security and IT production operations.
• Hands-on with NSX-T / VCF9, Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Coding and implementing firewall rules and micro-segmentation.
• Experience with firewall rule optimisation and automation.
• Experience working to SLAs and QoS in production.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose malfunctions, clear flow blockages and ensure high availability of the security infrastructure in line with SLAs.
• Implement, code, maintain and optimise firewall policies and segmentation rules following security best practices.
• Design and implement micro-segmentation rules across the enterprise environment.
• Act as subject matter expert for network security: guidance, training, alerts and verification of compliance with IT security standards.
• Interface with technical experts across the other IT and infrastructure domains.
• Handle incidents, requests and changes with proper documentation, in line with ITIL practices.

Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be working for our client in the international banking sector, within an enterprise IT production environment. You will be responsible for the operational maintenance of the security infrastructure, the implementation and optimisation of firewall policies and network segmentation, and you will act as the reference expert for network security across technical domains.

Your main responsibilities:

• Diagnose malfunctions, clear flow blockages and ensure the high availability of the security infrastructure, in line with agreed SLAs.


• Implement, code, maintain and optimise firewall policies and segmentation rules following security best practices.


• Design and implement micro-segmentation rules across the enterprise environment.


• Act as subject matter expert for network security: guidance, training, alerts and verification of compliance with IT security standards.


• Interface with technical experts across the other IT and infrastructure domains.


• Handle incidents, requests and changes with proper documentation, in line with ITIL practices.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 6+ years of experience in network security and IT production operations (incidents, requests, changes, documentation).


• Hands-on experience with NSX-T / VCF9, Palo Alto and Fortinet.


• Practical experience coding and implementing firewall security rules and micro-segmentation.


• Experience with firewall rule optimisation and automation. (1/2)


• Experience working to SLAs and quality-of-service commitments in a production environment.
