SODECIA in Porto, Portugal, seeks a Network & Communication / End-User Computing Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Operations team. You will be responsible for the global network, connectivity, and end-user computing environment, ensuring standardized, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure across SODECIA.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network, infrastructure, workplace, or end-user computing.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and endpoint management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and continuously improve LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and network connectivity.
• Support network infrastructure, routing, switching, segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Manage and improve end-user computing, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management environments.
• Ensure effective device deployment, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot complex network and end-user infrastructure incidents.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and plant rollouts.
• Implement infrastructure and endpoint security standards with Cybersecurity team.
• Support NIS2, TISAX and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure, asset, and configuration documentation.
• Work with global ITK teams and external technology partners.
• Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

YOUR MISSION

You will be responsible for the global network, connectivity, and end-user computing environment, helping us build a standardized, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure across SODECIA.

You will work closely with our global ITK community, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and digitalization teams to ensure technology works seamlessly across our plants and corporate locations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You have a strong technical foundation and enjoy solving problems in complex, multi-site environments.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network, infrastructure, workplace, or end-user computing.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and endpoint management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi.
• Knowledge of VPN, network security, and segmentation.
• Experience with IT service management and infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with external IT service providers and technology vendors.
• Experience in a global or multi-site organization is highly valued.
• Experience in manufacturing / automotive environments is a strong advantage.

Certifications that are a plus

CCNA / CCNP, Microsoft / Azure, ITIL, Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba or equivalent certifications.
