An IT Consulting Company based in Lisbon seeks a Senior Network Specialist to manage IT infrastructures and applications for national and international clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance, resolving complex issues, and designing network solutions. A CCNP certification or higher, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration, is required. This position may involve travel and outside normal hours work.

We are looking for Senior Network Specialist!

Mission: Function to be performed within the scope of the network and communications administration offer in Group Portugal's managed services unit, responsible for the management of IT infrastructures and applications for large national and international companies. A person we are looking for will play the role of Architect and Technical Specialist, must be able to provide advanced support, knowledge and guidance for the resolution of more complex issues, as well as being able to carry out a structural our clients' networks, designing and implementing solutions with a focus on technological evolution and continuous adaptation of the network to the specific needs of each client.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a focal point for advanced technical knowledge in their area of providing technical guidance and solutions to complex challenges.
• Resolving technical problems escalated by the team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of problems.
• Carrying out regular assessments of the network infrastructures of the customers under its management and propose improvements and developments based on best practices and industry sector trends.
• Providing technical advice to internal and external customers, ensuring the proper and safe implementation of network solutions.
• Continuously reviewing and promoting the necessary changes to the strategy for monitoring strategy.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience in the field (minimum 4 years).
• Experience in network administration functions in a large company environment, specific experience in managed shared services will be valued.
• Ability to show confidence and acquire credibility when interacting with internal and external stakeholders at various levels (technical teams, middle and senior management).
• Solid and proven technical knowledge of networks, protocols, security and complementary IT infrastructure.
• Solid experience in investigating and troubleshooting complex problems.
• Availability for occasional travel and work outside normal working hours.
• Certification at CCNP level or preferably higher, others within scope will be highly valued.
• Current portfolio of technologies managed by the team (from which the candidate's technical competence in a significant scope is expected):
• Routing/Switching/Wireless Security Load‑Balancing.
• Experience with TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux.
• Programming languages (e.g., Python and Ansible scripting)
• Knowledge of SDN, service orchestration platforms.
• Technology certifications in the field (e.g., Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Data Center) is a Plus.
