- Support the operation and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure across Körber locations.
- Assist with LAN, WAN, WLAN, Internet, VPN, and SD-WAN services under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Configure, document, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure according to defined standards.
- Support basic cloud networking activities in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, where applicable.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity, and lift issues where required.
- Investigate incidents, contribute to root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
- Participate in incident, change, and problem management activities in line with IT service management processes.
- Follow Körber security standards, network architecture principles, and operational procedures.
- Support network lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and standardization activities.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, inventory information, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, service providers, and project teams on network-related tasks and smaller work packages.
- Support onboarding of new sites, acquisitions, and infrastructure transformation activities as part of a project team.
- Contribute ideas for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement within network operations.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training, apprenticeship, Bachelor's Degree, or comparable qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Approximately 1–4 years of practical experience in network operations, infrastructure support, or a comparable IT role.
- Solid basic understanding of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP Routing and switching fundamentals VLANs and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking VPN technologies Wireless networking basics Internet and WAN connectivity Basic network security concepts
- First hands‑on experience with enterprise network technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent solutions is desirable.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts in Azure and/or AWS is an advantage.
- Experience using network monitoring, ticketing, and documentation tools.
- Basic understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management processes, especially incident, change, and problem management.
- Willingness to learn from senior colleagues, follow established standards, and gradually take on more complex responsibilities.
- Interest in automation, scripting, and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts is an advantage but not mandatory.
