NTT DATA in Lisbon is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team and act as the senior technical lead for ongoing network operations and infrastructure transformation. The role focuses on Cisco IOS/IOS-XE administration, NAC deployment, and modernization of the network estate.

The position requires a master’s degree with 8 years in IT, strong experience with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS and Catalyst Center, and a hands-on approach to monitoring, change windows, and runbooks.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and maintain the network estate.

• Investigate and resolve incidents across wired, wireless, access, and core networks.
• Support NAC and authentication-related issues.
• Participate in change windows and ad hoc fixes.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Improve monitoring and observability.
• Replace legacy Cisco switches with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS.
• Replace the existing Wi‑Fi environment with a new Cisco wireless platform.
• Implement Network Access Control (NAC).
• Deploy Cisco Catalyst Center as the primary network management platform.
• Improve configuration management and automation.

Goal:

Ongoing network operations and implementation of new infrastructure

Profile:

Ongoing Operational Work

• Monitor and maintain the network estate.
• Respond to alerts and troubleshoot issues.
• Investigate and resolve incidents across wired, wireless, access, and core networks.
• Support NAC and authentication-related issues.
• Participate in change windows and ad hoc fixes.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Improve monitoring and observability.

Infrastructure Transformation

• Replace legacy Cisco switches with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS.
• Replace the existing Wi‑Fi environment with a new Cisco wireless platform.
• Implement Network Access Control (NAC).
• Deploy Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) as the primary network management platform.
• Improve configuration management and automation.

The engineer is expected to act as the senior technical lead, ensuring changes are planned, executed safely, and operational stability is maintained.
