Capgemini Engineering is seeking a qualified network engineer to troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, configure and support LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and MPLS, and monitor performance across enterprise environments.

You will work closely with NOC teams, infrastructure specialists, field technicians and technology vendors to ensure reliable network operations and timely deployments.

Qualificações

• Degree or equivalent in telecommunications or computer engineering preferred.
• Experience in network operations or technical support.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, IP addressing, and routing/switching.
• Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, MPLS and STP.

YOUR ROLE

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents.
• Configure and support LAN, WAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, firewall and MPLS environments.
• Monitor network performance and implement changes, upgrades and workarounds when required.
• Test new versions and releases before production deployment.
• Support the implementation and ongoing operation of enterprise network services.
• Work closely with NOC teams, infrastructure specialists, field technicians and technology vendors.

YOUR PROFILE

• Higher education in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in network operations, engineering or technical support.
• Good knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP addressing, routing and switching.
• Knowledge of protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS and STP.
• Experience troubleshooting network incidents and identifying root causes.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, equipment upgrades and configuration changes.
• Exposure to firewalls, corporate Wi-Fi, network security or customer premises equipment is valued.
• Experience with manufacturers such as Cisco, Nokia, Huawei, Fortinet or Check Point is an advantage.
• Python, network automation knowledge and CCNA or CCNP certifications are valued but not mandatory.
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with different technical teams.
• Availability for on-call support and occasional out-of-hours implementations.
