Job summary

Jobbex.IT in Portugal is seeking a Network Engineer to support a client, focusing on performance, security, and resilience of the network infrastructure.

You will define network policies, implement security controls, troubleshoot incidents, monitor traffic, and ensure compliance with data privacy standards. Fortinet NSE4 certified professionals preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of demonstrable professional experience in network engineering roles.
• Fortinet NSE4 certification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of network security practices and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the performance, availability, resilience, and security of network infrastructure and communications, in line with SLAs.
• Contribute to the definition and development of network policies, design standards, and technical requirements.
• Implement, maintain, and improve network security policies and controls.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related incidents and performance issues.
• Use network management and monitoring tools to assess traffic, capacity, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards relating to network security and data privacy.
• Monitor logs, alerts, and reports from network security devices to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Implement, configure, and operate centralised network device management platforms.

Responsabilities:

• Ensure the performance, availability, resilience, and security of network infrastructure and communications, in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).


• Contribute to the definition and development of network policies, design standards, and technical requirements.


• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve network security policies and controls.


• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related incidents and performance issues.


• Use network management and monitoring tools to assess network traffic, capacity, and performance.


• Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry standards relating to network security and data privacy.


• Monitor and analyse logs, alerts, and reports generated by network security devices to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.


• Implement, configure, and operate centralised network device management platforms.

You'll be a great match if you have:

• Minimum of 8 years of demonstrable professional experience in similar roles.


• Fortinet certification, at least NSE 4 level or equivalent.
