Job summary

Inoweiser, a tech group with 20+ years, seeks a Network and Telecommunications Engineer to design and manage complex LAN/WAN networks for clients in Lisbon. You’ll work with Cisco, Fortinet, and VoIP, ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure.

The role focuses on designing segmentation, VPNs, wireless, and perimeters, with hands-on configuration and ongoing monitoring. Portuguese market role in Lisbon, with team collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years in LAN/WAN design and support.
• 5+ years in Cisco Routing/Switching and Fortinet.
• 2+ years with NAC and load balancers (NGINX FortiWeb).
• Experience with firewalls (Fortinet/Check Point) and WAN segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage LAN/WAN architectures for clients.
• Configure and support Cisco/Fortinet devices and VPNs.
• Implement segmentation, DMZs and perimeter designs.
• Maintain network monitoring and access control systems.

We are strengthening our team with a Network and Telecommunications Engineer (Network Engineer) profile.

What we’re looking for

• Relevant academic background for the role;
• 3 to 4 years of experience in LAN and WAN design, management and support;
• More than 3 years of experience in Cisco Routing and Switching (Nexus and Catalyst) and Fortinet (switching and routing);
• More than 2 years of experience in NAC (802.1x and others) and Load Balancers (NGINX and FortiWeb);
• More than 2 years of experience in zoning and segmentation (Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls) and perimeter design (Fortinet and Checkpoint VPN);
• More than 2 years of experience in Wi‑Fi (Cisco and Fortinet wireless);
• Experience with Voice over IP protocols (Cisco, Asterisk and FreePBX);
• Knowledge of network architecture and LAN and WAN protocols: SD‑WAN, MPLS and others;
• Solid knowledge of principles and platforms for network management and monitoring (RADIUS, TACACS, Zabbix, PRTG, OAuth, LanSweeper and others);
• Knowledge of and working experience with DNS, DHCP, AD/ADFS, digital certificates, SIP/SIP Trunk, CallManagers, proxies and reverse proxies, and others.
• Knowledge and/or experience in network design and segmentation/segregation, as well as zoning and DMZ design and strategies;
• Work experience in the "travel" industry.
